- Put on the workout clothes. Once my shoes are on, there's really no turning back. Pro tip: sleep in most of your workout outfit if you plan on working out in the morning. That way there is less to do when your alarm goes off. You're already halfway dressed so you can't not go... right?
- Turn on your workout playlist. As I mentioned in a previous post, when I hear one of my workout songs, I am INSTANTLY motivated. Make that song your alarm. You may grow to hate it, but if you're in the middle of your day and you hear it, you'll be reminded of how awesome your workout was.
- Sometimes I'm just so hungry, I know that if I go to the gym, I will pass out. My solution is this: eat eggs. I like to cook two and add a little bit of hot sauce. I wait about 45 minutes (1 episode on Netflix) and then I hit the road. Besides not passing out, the protein from the egg honestly helps improve my workout. It also doesn't leave you dehydrated. (Once I tried eating almonds before a long run... biggest mistake. So thirsty.)
- If you're really not feeling great that day (started your period, BLAH), give yourself a chill gym day. While my usual plan is to sweat my arse off, when I just can't do it, I reward myself with an easy workout. Obviously this can't be an everyday thing, but at least you are trying! My go-to 'easy' workout is the stair-stepper. It's slower but still gives you some results. I put some Netflix on my phone & away I go for the entire episode.
- Finally, one of my motivators is thinking about the endorphins I always get when I complete my workout. You have to be proud of yourself for working out or you won't keep doing it. Even if it is an easier day, you are still there putting in effort instead of completely skipping! There's a quote that says "Remember that you're only one workout away from a good mood". This is so incredibly true!
I'm always looking for more tips! Are there any tips that I need to add to the list?

We all have those days where working out just seems like the BIGGEST burden. You would rather scrub the bottom of your shower with a toothbrush than drag your butt to the gym.
