- Put on the workout clothes. Once my shoes are on, there's really no turning back. Pro tip: sleep in most of your workout outfit if you plan on working out in the morning. That way there is less to do when your alarm goes off. You're already halfway dressed so you can't not go... right?
- Turn on your workout playlist. As I mentioned in a previous post, when I hear one of my workout songs, I am INSTANTLY motivated. Make that song your alarm. You may grow to hate it, but if you're in the middle of your day and you hear it, you'll be reminded of how awesome your workout was.
- Sometimes I'm just so hungry, I know that if I go to the gym, I will pass out. My solution is this: eat eggs. I like to cook two and add a little bit of hot sauce. I wait about 45 minutes (1 episode on Netflix) and then I hit the road. Besides not passing out, the protein from the egg honestly helps improve my workout. It also doesn't leave you dehydrated. (Once I tried eating almonds before a long run... biggest mistake. So thirsty.)
- If you're really not feeling great that day (started your period, BLAH), give yourself a chill gym day. While my usual plan is to sweat my arse off, when I just can't do it, I reward myself with an easy workout. Obviously this can't be an everyday thing, but at least you are trying! My go-to 'easy' workout is the stair-stepper. It's slower but still gives you some results. I put some Netflix on my phone & away I go for the entire episode.
- Finally, one of my motivators is thinking about the endorphins I always get when I complete my workout. You have to be proud of yourself for working out or you won't keep doing it. Even if it is an easier day, you are still there putting in effort instead of completely skipping! There's a quote that says "Remember that you're only one workout away from a good mood". This is so incredibly true!
I'm always looking for more tips! Are there any tips that I need to add to the list?

How to find workout motivation when you just CANNOT - My Top 5 Secrets To Getting Off Your Arse!
We all have those days where working out just seems like the BIGGEST burden. You would rather scrub the bottom of your shower with a toothbrush than drag your butt to the gym. However, routine is KEY to getting any sort of results. You may think scrubbing the shower is a substitute for an arm workout, but it's not. I'm sorry. Here's a few tips to make yourself workout!
The ULTIMATE LET'S GET GOING workout playlist!
When my motivation is lacking, I find that playing one of these songs at home will make me feel guiltiest and I'll get off my arse.
I should also mention that this is not my entire workout playlist. I like to add songs that give me the feels. For example, She Won't Be Lonely Long by Clay Walker makes me feel determined because it reminds me of someone who isn't my favorite anymore. If there's a song that gives you enough feels to motivate you without balling your eyes out, put it on your workout playlist. Shit like that makes you run faster, I swear.
Note: Although mine is a combination of all of these, I categorized it so you can easily skip categories you might not like. I encourage you to take a listen to all of these songs but I know not everyone shares my love for country ;)
Rock
Pop
Rap/R&B

PS - If you don't like my categories, I'm sorry. Some of them fit into multiple but I put it in the one where I thought the audience would appreciate it the most!
Did I miss something that should be on everyone's playlist? Let me know!

A quick introduction....
As it says in my mini bio, I am a college student majoring in Family Relationships. I hope to one day work for a non-profit and maybe get my Ph.D in Psychology. I'm a person with a ton of passions and am never bored. Usually I'm crazy busy with 5 or 6 classes and working almost 30 hours a week but I have some downtime this semester. Blogging is something I've always been interested in. I always start with all these ideas and then get distracted and never come back to them. I've been told I have commitment problems but I'm working on it... with a blog!
In my grand master plan for blogging, I hope to include posts on topics based on my interests. Although I'm always picking up new hobbies, I can GUARANTEE my favorite things will be show up. My most knowledgeable areas areeeee..
